Announcing Culinary Kids Cooking Experience offered by
The Sense Of Wonder!
Beginning Tuesday, January 26, from 10:30-11:30 AM, Culinary Kids Cooking Experience will meet
at Bellingham Preschool of the Arts, once a month, where children, accompanied
by a parent, can explore a hands-on approach to cooking.
Children will have
opportunities make up to four different culinary delights during each session
in the individual serving-size style. Ants on a Log, Fruit Kebabs, Tiny Tacos,
Fruit Soup, Bagel Face, Hummus and Crackers, Egg Salad Dip, Tea for Two, and Banana Pudding are just a few of the
healthy recipes we will explore in Culinary Kids.
This course is designed to be fun, as well as to build self
confidence, independence, and fine motor skills in young children. Skills such
as learning following a recipe (with words, numbers and images), prepares
children for reading. Using an egg beater, strawberry huller, or whisk can help
a child with fine motor coordination. Also, when children participate in
cooking and preparing their own snacks, they are more likely to try new foods.
Culinary Kids is designed for children, ages 18 months and
up, with an interest in food preparation and hands-on fun!
Classes scheduled for the following Tuesdays: Jan 26,
Feb 23, March 23, April 13, May 25.
Cost is $10/child & parent team. Register for all five
days and save $5! Sibling discounts are available.
Contact Erin Willison at 224-2379, or thesenseofwonder8@gmail.com for more information or to register for classes. Pre-registration
is required in order to provide exact quantities of food. Class size is limited for individualized attention.

Thanks to everyone who came, celebrated, and made a difference this Halloween!
